A visit to the Bread Ahead bakery

Our lucky member school, Sacred Heart RC Primary visited Bread Ahead's teaching kitchen for a crash course in bread baking.

In a two hour Make, Shape and Bake workshop, 12 students were guided through the entire bread making process, learnt about the science behind fermentation, then finally formed their loaf into whatever shape they could imagine before baking it.
