Too often simple willpower is offered as the solution to childhood obesity; eat less exercise more. But Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity sees childhood obesity as a normal response to an abnormal environment. A report produced with The Behavioural Insights Team explores this concept further and you can learn more about the approach of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity from the short animation below.
In a nutshell it shows us that childhood obesity is a complex issue that will take time to crack but the important thing to do is get started and keep going. Together we can create an environment where "the healthy thing to do, is the easy thing to do".
